Perth Wildcats: NBL26 Rebrand
Business Challenge
Australia's most successful NBL club (10 championships, 35 consecutive Finals appearances) had a visual identity over 20 years old, and a brand that was failing to connect with the next generation of basketball fans and young families.
Strategic Unlock
Fan research (900+ responses) confirmed that tradition, city pride, and excellence were non-negotiable. The rebrand didn't need to reinvent the Wildcats; it needed to honour what made them iconic and rebuild the identity to show up powerfully in the digital and broadcast world of modern sport.
Organising Idea
Informed by the past, built for what's next. A fierce new mark, unmistakably Western Australian, with sharper lines, a bolder Wildcat, and the Red Army's iconic colour front and centre, designed to carry the club into a new era of growth on and off the court.
Key Results
30% increase in merchandise revenue YoY in Q1. 19% increase in ticketing revenue across the first 3 home games. 3% membership revenue growth. All new uniforms, apparel and marketing materials delivered on stringent NBL deadlines.
